Comment by Katiana on March 24, 2013 at 10:58 I am searching for a proofreader! Someone who can proof on an ASCII and send the corrections via a chart on Word or a scanned copy of the corrections. I prefer to pay via PayPal and I will pay as soon as the job is returned.
Please let me know your experience, rates, turnaround, etc.
Comment by Suzanne Lee on October 25, 2012 at 7:18 I am an experienced, professional scopist/proofreader accepting any types of jobs (depositions, court, meetings, dailies, expedites, etc.). My work history includes 20+ years as a scopist and proofreader, as well as 13 years (to present) as a court reporter. (I also worked for three years as a high school English teacher and six years as a legal secretary before beginning my court reporting practice.) I have a bachelor of science degree in English and a technical certification in computer science, as well as my training in machine shorthand.
My software is Case CATalyst 11 with AudioSync. I also use ExpressScribe for digital audio files.
Please visit my website www.MissCourtReporter.com for more details about my experience, and feel free to contact me at melsuz@aol.com for information about my rates and availability for your specific job.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Comment by Judy on October 24, 2012 at 15:29 If you're a scopist/proofreader that is experienced in doing dailies and have "daily" references, please join our new group Scopists/Proofreaders that do Dailies.
Desperately looking for a CaseCatalyst proofreader for ~400 pages due back to me Monday by noon...simply testimony, nothing technical. I would prefer the work to be done in Case, no erratta sheets. please contact me if interested - ac.courtreporter@gmail.com
Comment by Janiece on October 17, 2012 at 13:28 I have a friend that is interested in starting to proofread. Is there an online class she should take. She currently is a legal secretary and wants to proof nights and weekends.
Thanks,
Janiece
Comment by Barbara Sherburne on August 12, 2012 at 17:36 I am always looking for more proofreading work to do. This summer has been exceptionally slow. I have been doing scoping and proofreading work for 26 years (come August 18th), so I have a lot of experience. I accept work via ASCII and proofread the transcript utilizing OpenOffice. I then create an errata sheet using page and line numbers and part of the sentence in question. If you are looking for a fast turnaround and someone who is really good at this, please contact me. Thanks. Barb
