I want to offer my thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by Harvey and Irma.  For a reduced rate and quicker turnaround, I want to help you while you focus on preparation, evacuation, and reaching loved ones.  Please don't hesitate to contact me at abda@abdalaurent.com.  Stay safe!

Busy? Overwhelmed? Exhausted? Need five extra minutes to maintain your sanity? I can help!

Instead of taking the time to proofread your transcripts yourself, send them to me. I will go over them, fact checking dates and addresses, correcting punctuation for readability, and catching those sneaky typos that slip by. When you give your transcript to me, I'm a set of fresh eyes. I'll do my best to make sure you have a clean, accurate transcript. I work by marking on PDF. Audio is available upon request at a different rate.

For references I use:

  • Lillian Morson's English Guide for Court Reporters
  • Bad Grammar, Good Punctuation by Margie Wakeman Wells
  • Gregg's Reference Manual
  • The best punctuation book, period. by June Casagrande
  • The Merriam-Webster Dictionary
  • Various Internet sources (e.g. drugs.com, usacourts.gov, etc)

And most importantly:

  • Your preferences.

I will take your preferences into account when proofreading. Like the Oxford comma? Great! Hate it? Ok, that's fine too. I'm here to help YOU.

Please don't hesitate to e-mail me with any jobs, questions, or just to chat! Please visit my website here for more information or e-mail me at natalie@tobrighteststars.com.

I offer competitive rates and availability (no extra charge for weekends).  Your work is important to you; your work is important to me.  Check out www.proofreadingstudio.com to learn more and potentially contact me regarding your next job.

Hi,

I'm Francine Jackson, the one Christine said was having a problem signing in.  I've been a proofreader for almost 20 years, starting when, as a person putting together a program book for kids' science studies, I noticed there were too many errors to allow the public to read.  I have been freelancing for a court reporting office for many years; also, I'm a professional informal science educator, with emphasis on astronomy.  And, yes, I'm looking forward to the upcoming total solar eclipse.

I’m a proofreader with over 11 years of proofreading and editing experience. I've been working as a transcript proofreader for the last two years and I would love to add a couple more court reporters to my current circle of regular clients.

I proofread in PDF format and am available for both regular and rush/weekend work. More details are listed in my profile. One-time or long-term clients welcome!

Resume, rates sheet, and references available upon request. You can email me at butifnot.es@gmail.com. I'd love to discuss how I can help save you time and frustration!

Hi there!

Picky, picky, picky – that’s me, but in a good way! My obsessive attention to detail will help you produce outstanding transcripts.  I pledge to read every word and do extensive research to make sure all names, terms, locations, etc. are spelled correctly. And I seem to have a knack for figuring out a puzzling word or phrase when you say, “It sounded something like this…”

I have found that my paralegal background and hands-on training in court reporting school makes me a more well-rounded proofreader with a better understanding of the challenges you face in recording verbatim proceedings.

My longtime (since 1996) court reporter client is taking an extended hiatus, so I am now available, with red pen in hand, to take on your most challenging  depos.

The details:

Paralegal Certificate (Honors) – Roosevelt University, Chicago

Court Reporting School – Merit College (2 years)

                        BA (Sociology)-- University of Illinois

                        Proofreading experience - 21 years

Please contact me at: kathys1530@gmail.com to discuss your project or chat about rates and turnaround times. I’m looking forward to partnering with you in a long-term relationship!

My experience as an educator, being an avid reader, and my eye for spotting errors led to my journey into professional proofreading. I have completed a rigorous course in the art of proofreading, value the diverseness of language, and understand the importance of presenting polished content. My job is to help you shine!

I am available for standard, rush, and daily jobs.  Feel free to check out my website www.dotsanddashes.co or email me at karm@dotsanddashes.co.  I look forward to working with you!

*No additional cost for weekend work!*

I can be reached at kate@ksproofreading.com, or check out ksproofreading.com for more information.

As a former court reporter, I understand how important it is to turn in a clean and accurate transcript that reflects your professional skill. Your need for a reliable proofreader is extremely crucial in this business, and you need someone you can count on to be available at a moment’s notice to get the job done in a timely manner.

I'd love to be that proofreader you can count on! For information about my rates and more, check me out at bennettproofing.com. For any other questions you may have, contact me at tiffanybennett@bennettproofing.com. I can't wait to hear from you!

Need a proofreader? Well, you're in luck because I'm looking for some new clients!

I'm currently available to add new clients to my regular roster, as well as proofreading one-off jobs. I offer a 20 percent discount on the first transcript for all new clients, and I will proofread the first 15 pages of that transcript for free. I prefer to work in PDF, but I can do errata sheets if that's more your thing. My rates are as follows:

Regular (two business days):       $.40 per page

Rushed (one business day):          $.50 per page

Expedited (< one business day):  $.65 per page

Save yourself the headaches, and let my keen eye for detail do the proofreading for you! You can contact me at monnie@keeneyeproofreading.com. If you'd like to learn more about me or my rates, visit my website: www.keeneyeproofreading.com
