The onus is on the reporter to ensure the highest accuracy possible.  Your reputation is crucial.  That's why I'm dedicated to raising the accuracy of your spoken word.

I'm a proofreader who is punctual, thorough, and respectful to confidentiality.  I greatly value your personal preferences (up to the color of the highlighting!).  I can help polish your transcript as you take down your next assignment, or if you just need extra help.  Send your job to me to cross off one more item on your list and breathe easier.

For more information (rates, turnarounds, policies, etc.), contact me at abda@abdalaurent.com, or visit my website at www.abdalaurent.com.

Hello! I'm fairly new here. :) My name is Teresa Clark, and I am The Wordsmith VA.

My colleagues always asked me to proofread their work before it was published. I tend to easily spot spelling and grammar errors in printed materials. And mistakes published publicly by large companies really irk me! It was only natural that I become a professional proofreader. Now I use my top-notch proofreading skills to help court reporters polish their transcripts.

A court reporter’s job is never easy, but let me make your job a little easier by proofreading your transcripts. Find out more about me and my services at www.thewordsmithva.com. I'd love to work with you!

Why do you need a proofreader?

We all only have so many hours in the day. Between taking down a job, scoping it, proofing it, submitting it, and all the stuff in between (you know, eating and sleeping and relaxing), it can be hard to get everything done. With me on your team, your time goes further without having to sacrifice what's important to you.

Take back your free time. Let's be friends.

Visit my website, starlighteditorial.com, or email me at chelsea@starlighteditorial.com for more information and to book your first job today.

My name is Lu Weil.  After working as a staff proofreader for many years at a large court reporting agency, I have decided to branch out on my own full time.  I have been proofreading for court reporters exclusively for 20 years. During that time I also attained an associate's degree in court and conference reporting and have sat for the Texas CSR examination.  That being said, I have a deep "big-picture" understanding of the court reporting industry overall that greatly enhances my skill set.

My corrections process is very user friendly, starting with an ASCII (.txt) file submitted by the client and ending in a PDF returned to the client.  All of my suggested corrections are searchable, made in context, and visible in red.

I am extremely reliable, thorough, and have a superior eye for detail and inconsistency.  I am often available at a moment's notice for same-day turnaround when requested and expedites are rarely a problem.  I offer competitive rates and competitive turnaround, working seven days a week if need be, and treat weekends and most holidays as any other day.  My goal is to always place my clients' convenience above my own.

Payment may be made easily via PayPal, as this is the most convenient billing method for both my clients and myself.

I am currently building a roster of new clients and have several slots still available, whether you're full time, part time, or only interested for now in a one-off.

Please contact me directly at weilproofing@gmail.com, and I will promptly send you my rate sheet and policies/practices along with an exemplar transcript.

I greatly welcome the opportunity of becoming a valued and dedicated part of your team!
