I love the public library. You can borrow books and do research. Most libraries today offer free wi-fi. So if you're proofing and need access to the wi-fi but want a change of scenery. Try your local library.

The other great thing is that in Orange County, if you have a library card for your local library, you can check out material at any of the libraries in Orange County, except for Newport. They're snooty and have their own library system. However, you can sign up there as well.

Los Angeles County also has a great library system. I know in Long Beach, if you get a library card at one library, you can use any libraries throughout Long Beach. The downtown library is particularly nice.

What if, for some reason, you are out and about, maybe on vacation and you need access to a computer and the Internet, the library is where you can go.

A lot of people think that Barnes & Noble is like a library, but the problem with Barnes & Nobles is you tend to buy things when you're there. And if you're on a budget and don't want to spend money, then the library is a much better bet. You can check out that new thriller for three weeks and return it and there's no money upfront. Whoo-hoo. So if you haven't been to your local library in a while. Check it out.

Thanks, Kyung; I'm gonna try it just to see if you're right. If so; guess where I'll be?
I love the library. If I have a break between two jobs and it's too far to drive home, then I go to the local library. It's very quiet and you can get a lot of work done without being interrupted. I agree. The library is great.
