Yes, you can.

OCTA wants you to drive safe. So if you are going to be out and about this evening and drinking, please think about riding the bus and being safe. Starting at 6 p.m., the buses will be free. Whoo-hoo.

MTA is also having free rides on some of its light rail lines. I'm tempted just to go for a free ride. I have a 4-year-old, and it would be just fun for her to take the ride. Of course, it doesn't stat until 9 p.m., so a little late for the "G".

Also try 1-800-400-4AAA for a free ride home on New Year's Eve and a tow for your car, seven miles and passengers are excluded. So they'll have to sleep at your house.

This means several things:

A) Start your drinking early!!!
B) You don't need a designated driver
C) Less people one the roads.
D) You can save a life.

Have you noticed it's never the drunk driver who dies in the accident, it's always the passenger or the driver of the car that they plow into.

Anyhoo, I know everyone on here is pretty responsible. But maybe you have a friend who might need some help or are throwing a party (uh, I didn't get my invite) and you want all your friends to get home safe.

Have a great New Year!!

Wow! Who knew?!

Thanks, Kyung, for the info. We're staying home tonight, embracing our "old fartness," but this info could possibly save a life. My mom was killed by a drunk driver in '90, and it can happen to anyone. So be safe out there, people!
"Embracing our old fartness."

You kill me!! So funny.

I too will be embracing my inner "Old Fart." Actually, my dh is the "old fart."
