Looking for additional clients!  I transcribe depositions, etc. using Microsoft Word and Drop Box.  I work exclusively with voice mask users.  Send me your mp3 and I will give you a quick turnaround at reasonable rates, twice-proofed and spell-checked. Contact me at metatauta@hotmail.com.  Thanks!

I am an experienced proofreader and transcriptionist/typist.  I have quick turnaround and am very flexible and fair with my rates.  Trying new programs is something I always welcome.  Please feel free to contact me at jlpproofreading@gmail.com.

Hello! I am fairly new to proofreading and scoping. I am a former legal secretary for decades, and worked from home since 2011 as an audio transcriptionist and scoped for a friend who is a court reporter. I do not have CAT, but am looking for  court reporters who would be willing to send me transcripts in Microsoft Word. I use Dropbox, Start Stop, and an Infinity foot pedal. Thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions!

I have a question regarding foot pedals.  I primarily play back audio on Transcription Buddy software and I use the Olympus foot pedal.  I occasionally get a transcription job on FTR software, which isn't compatible with either Transcription Buddy or the Olympus foot pedal.  Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi Tina,

I'm in court reporting school and do transcription work.  It's harder than school because the audio quality isn't always good, people talk over each other, and you need to identify voices from sound alone.  I bought a usb pedal for 50 dollars and use it with express scribe (free).

Digicat has a $75/month professional version.  You can catnip into word from the student version, but being able to cut and paste will save you a lot of time.  The first few transcriptions you do might seem really hard, but it gets easier.

Thanks, Jennie. I have been looking on eBay for a Sanyo Memoscriber TR-8080.
