Experienced, no-frills proofreader actively seeking steady work. I prefer .txt files and provide a simple errata sheet with corrections and queries. I maintain running word lists for each case and double-check all names, addresses, and industry terminology for quality assurance. I have a rate sheet, but it is not engraved in stone (much more interested in steady, weekly work), and my current reporter can be contacted as a reference. My availability is immediate. Hidden Text is used for communicating, and Scanstops allow you to quickly advance to see my changes. There's only 24 hours in a day. I am a Case CATalyst and PDF proofreader. In Case CAT I use Scanstops, Hidden Keys and Track Changes or whatever method you prefer to make corrections so that you are completely in control of your transcript. I use iAnnotate for PDF proofing, making annotations above your text so nothing is ever changed in your transcripts.
