I am a new Scopist using Case Catalyst14. I have been scoping for one reporter for almost a year, but I need more work. I am looking for a reporter who is willing to give me an opportunity to work with them. Years ago (before everything was computerized) I was taking court reporting classes and worked part-time as a notereader for two reporters. I typed transcripts on an IBM Selectric typewriter. When I was offered a job at a very good salary as administative assistant to the Deputy Superintendent of a high school district, my reporters told me to take it. They said I would have pay raises, sick leave, vacation days, medical, etc., which they did not. I took the job but no longer had the time to noteread.
I am now retired and have taken a refresher course in legal transcription. I graduated from the U.S. Career Institute and I am ready to work. I have the old-fashioned work ethic, which means I don't play until the work is done. I will make every effort to get your job completed on time.
My name is Camilla, but everyone calls me Millie.
You can reach me at 928-580-8254 or whereverwepark@yahoo.com
Lisa, it's a way for the reporter to search an item identified by the scopist for him/her to check. They can easily do a search in the transcript which will automatically stop at that scanstop. If you are on CaseCATalyst, I can tell you how to mark it and/or how to search it. Nice little tool. Feel free to e-mail me if you need help. cafolsom@pacbell.net.
I'm new to scoping. Can someone tell me what a scan stop is?
Experienced Eclipse Scopist. Reference available, attention to detail, word-for-word audio on all jobs. Involved in reporting over 20 years. Now scoping full time. Dailies, expedites, Connection Magic, roughs. LServicesCal@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you!
Hello,
SPS, Scoping Proofreading Services, is ready to scope/proof for you! Available 7 days a week. SPS is able to scope/proof with CaseCAT or using Word (changes can be tracked in Word). Pretty much any software system can use Word by converting their transcript into an RTF file. SPS has experience with medical, technical, trials, commission board hearings, nursing board hearings, you name it! Contact scopingproofreadingservices@gmail.com for more information.
I am a court reporter who has never used a scopist before, but I have two immediate jobs that are due this Wednesday, and I am also looking for long-term help. I am on Case CATalyst. The two jobs I have right now are about 138 pgs and 68 pgs. Please e-mail me asap at LichenCSR@yahoo.com if available. Thanks! Lichen
I need a scopist on Digital Cat. Please email me at zenrussell@gmail.com

VERY EXPERIENCED SCOPIST
I am a NJ CSR for the past 26 years and have been scoping for the past 10 since having my children. I am on the latest version of Case with Audio and have tons of experience in all types of cases, including arbitrations, medical malpractice, patent litigation and pharmaceutical product liability cases.
I can produce back to you a perfectly done transcript ready to be handed in and offer reasonable rates. Please feel free to contact me via email at malefkus@verizon.net

Hello! I am a scopist who has been trained directly by Court Reporters working for TSG Reporting in NYC, and am skilled in using both Case CATalyst 15 and Eclipse 4.3 (looking to upgrade to 6 soon!) I am looking for a few more reporters to work with, ideally someone with whom I can build a long term working relationship. I am a hard worker, a bit of a perfectionist, and a fairly geeky grammarian ( I used to teach grammar). I am also a certified paralegal.
I know that each reporter has style preferences, and am always open to constructive criticism. Please feel free to contact me at any time. corinda@corindabravo.com or (818) 415-5565. Thank you!
Scopist/proofer in CaseCAT, 17 years of experience... various personal circumstances of two or three of my reporters leaving the stable have once again caused the need for a casting call! I charge the industry standard rates for straight proofing without audio and scoping/proofing with audio. I am thorough, and listen to every word. I research terms! I do everything I can to attempt to make the reporter's back-end processing smoother. I have been working recently in asbestos and transvaginal mesh trials, along with the usual assortment of medical and financial depositions to keep me busy. If you don't need me at present but you know someone who does, please spread the word... Thanks! Bob betabob@comcast.net
I am a former Registered Professional Reporter with over ten years' experience in taking depositions, hearings, and trials in civil-litigation matters, including medical and technical testimony. I stopped working when I had my kids, but I am now eager to start working as a scopist now that my kids are older.
I am using Case CAT Version 15 and do have a support contract for the latest versions available. I will always listen to full audio using AudioSync or Express Scribe Pro. I understand the importance of making a professional, verbatim record of the proceedings and will do all of the research for you and build your dictionary.

I look forward to hearing from you!

I am California CSR 9822 and have worked as a court reporter since 1993 doing depositions, arbitrations, mediations and civil trials. After taking time off to be "booster" mom to my two daughters I find myself an empty nester and wanting to offer Case CATalyst scoping or proofreading services. During my "off" time I did CATalyst editing and proofing for some court reporter friends but would like to add to my clientele. I am on the most current version of Case CATalyst and I have a two computer, two printer home office. As a long-time reporter, I understand the ins and outs of the business, I am reliable, professional and do all the necessary research to help make your product the best it can be. Please check out my website and/or contact me at cafolsom@pacbell.net or (714) 328-1309.
Thanks,
Cari Folsom
Certified scopist on Case CAT 14. I'm looking for overflow, regular turnaround work while I'm getting some on-the-job experience. I have a mentor with many years under her belt that will be helping me along until she and I both feel comfortable that I've made progress, thus ensuring you will receive quality work in a timely manner. My pre-scopist work experience has been as a nurse and in medical administration, so I have many years of medical terminology experience. I am organized, flexible and pay attention to detail. Please contact me, Rebecca Sevores, directly at rsevores@yahoo.com.
Eclipse 4/5/6. Scoping certification May 2012. BA English. Excellent references. I'm looking for a clean writer. I do best with normal turnaround. sheilaedel@live.com
My certified scoping background includes 30 years of shorthand/proofreading/transcription and 12 years using medical terminology. Looking to use my skills to do scoping on a part or full time basis for reporters using CatCatalyst 14. I am offering a discount to first-time reporters. You may contact me @ trishd5456@centurylink.net.
I am available for scoping on CaseCAT 14. I am a Certified Shorthand Reporter/Registered Merit Reporter in Texas. I have been doing deposition reporting for a total of 15 years, but I report part-time now and am looking to transition to scoping. I totally understand what is important to a reporter in terms of the transcript and turnaround times. Also, I understand how you can write like a champ on a technical job one day and get blown away by a little slip-and-fall depo the next, so don't be embarrassed if you think your notes are a mess. We've all been there, and that's what a scopist is for! If you would like more information, I can be reached at jill.moyle@gmail.com.

Scopist / Proofreader available for work. I am a working court reporter who loves to scope and proofread on the side.
I know that I’ve expected a lot when I’ve looked for scopists and proofers for myself, and I will bring all those expectations with me and apply them to your transcript! I have plenty of experience in court, anything from divorce trials to murder trials. I also am one of the main court reporters for the Commission hearings in my state, which can be extremely technical. And, of course, regular and medical depositions are welcome. I use Morson’s English Guide for Court Reporters, and I will take the extra time to do the research or alert you if something needs to be looked at.
I have fair rates, so contact me today at scopingproofreadingservices@gmail.com and let’s get started!
