Actually, they have an awkward gate and not very comfortable at all.  Also, their back is bony and it was protruding through the so-called saddle and poking me in the crotch.  I'm sure it was worse for my husband than myself.  Yes, they do spit and bite.  These camels were very calm and mellow, which I was very appreciative of.

Wow, that would be fun.   It's so funny because camels (I think) will spit on people.  They look so mellow and then it's so funny when they just spit, (unless I'm getting them mixed up with llamas or whatever.   I wonder what it would feel like to be riding one of those when they're trotting or galloping like a horse, just wonder if they have a rhythm that you could get used to.
