Hi Casey,
That is awesome!! Good for you. I am wanting to get started so bad I can hardly stand it but I am a long way from that. I am about to start the CRAH program hopefully in the next month or so. I have kind jumped the gun and ordered a book called Freelance Court Reporting by Dana Chipkin. I just got it in the mail yesterday and I think that it is going to be very informative. It was kinda pricey I ordered mine from amazon and I believe it cost me close to $90.00 total but I do feel like it will be worth it

Sheri,
I have just started doing freelancing and I haven't had the first bit of training. My court reporter is a good friend and she has sent me what I need to get started. I am in need of informational books if anyone can recommend some that aren't outrageously expensive! LOL
Thanks,
Casey

If your goal is freelancing, I think steno would be the way to go. I know in the Boston market there are not many voicewriters. They have been in superior court for years. In federal court, they are all steno.
I'm not familiar with the online programs, but I know there have been prior posts regarding online programs. Try a search on here for online programs. Hopefully, you'll get the information you need.
