Welcome to CSR Nation
This is my first posting (blog) on the CSRnation. This place came highly recommended, and I am looking forward to the interaction.
Any advice on best how to utilize this site?

Go to the CaseCat send work request group and join that group. When a reporter needs a scopist, they'll send out an email blast to that group and you'll get an email that you can contact the reporter through. You can also join just the basic scopist group on the main page. Think there's like 430 scopists in that group.
Comment by Mary Ann Payonk on February 4, 2012 at 8:14 Hi, Cindy. I'm not a scopist, I'm a reporter. Others familiar with the scoping side will let you know about all that. But one thing I can tell you is that you can do a lot of PR'ing yourself without not actually blatantly doing so by simply having every, and I do mean every single one of your posts spelled correctly, punctuated correctly, every time. Some folks who post on message boards believe it's much more casual, informal, than writing a business communication. But trust me when I say your postings on a public message board frequented by reporters who might use your services ARE business communications. Everyone has an off day - I sure do - but constant misuse of words ... affect/effect ... saying "another words" for "in other words" ... things like that will jump out at a reporter (or should) and possibly make them think, gee, this person just doesn't have "it." So that's my advice to you, and best of luck, Cindy!
