This is what the attorney said.

I'm just -- any understanding of any -- any problems out of the ordinary in -- in dealing with the City on this project. I know when you deal with these kind of development projects, they all kind of have their various hares, and I'm just wondering what the issues are, if any, on this project.

Does he mean hair as in splitting hair?

Or do you think he means hares as in chasing down a hare, chasing down any hare that comes down the path?

I'm torn on this one. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.

I have always believed it was hairs.
could it be heirs, as inheriting problems?
I don't think it would be heirs. Most people don't pronounce the "h" in heir.

I really think it's between hares and hairs.
I believe it's hairs - in Merriam Webster's one of the definitions is "nature, character."
I'm guessing hairs, but it's hard to say without knowing what the case is about.
varying hares: snowshoe hare (noun) ?
