That Stenoram II sure was heavy.  And I swear I hit keys, and I didn't end up with clean writing (what should have been clean).

Opportunity struck.  Great price, nice writer.  I got a Stenograph Proteje (2009 barely used).  It is not considered professional.  However, I can get three hours on the RAM.  It feels like I'm writing on a Cadillac.

For those of you using those old writers, Stenturas, Smart Writers, with the little ink spool, you owe it to yourself to have a new writer.  Those ink cartridges are only $16.00 and lasts through 50? reams of paper.  The touch on the newer writers, the weight of them, is incredible.

Mary Jo,

Can you hook it to your computer and write all day or are you limited to 3 hours?

You may have the option of writing not to RAM and just cabling to your computer.

Janiece

Yes, I have the option of not writing to RAM and just using cable - so you can write all day.

To clean out the RAM, I just hit the fourth and sixth buttons together twice (five seconds) and beep, beep, gone.  I think it's better to keep the RAM going, because is case something happens to the computer, it's on the RAM.  Just keep that little laptop going, when you get a break, save it, and delete what's in the RAM.

I don't hear one sound from this writer.  That Stenoram was old and noisy.

That sounds great, Mary Jo.  The touch on a writer does make all the difference.

I feel like a brand new court reporter.

With my suavy business sense, the writer ended up with a cost of about $60.00. (The cost of the writer, selling the CRAH that came with it, selling a Stenoram II with practice material to  someone who responded about the CRAH program.)

Congrats, Mary Jo,

What a deal!!!
