Just wondered if anyone has been having a lot of request to print out exhibits and bring them to

a depo?

I seem to be getting it more and more now.  The reporting firm emails me the exhibits and wants me to print them for 20 cents a page and bring them to the depo.  Attorneys are appearing by phone.

Yeah, I've had that happen to me quite a bit.  I'll do it if it's not too many, but otherwise, I make the office print them and have them messengered to me and I bring them to the job.  I have an old crappy printer that's not made for tons of pages.  I sort of like it that way because I don't want to be stuck printing all that stuff.

I've gotten a box of exhibits sent to me at home and I lug it to the dep or a box of exhibits goes to my attention at the location.  I've printed up to 10 or maybe 20 pages which I've brought to the dep.  20 cents a page to print is not bad at all.  500 (ream) sheets of paper costs $3 based on today's sale at Office Depot:

http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/617206/Domtar-ImagePrint-Mult...

$30 for 10 reams = $3/ream = 500 sheets  (free shipping)

Print 500 sheets x .20 = $100

Toner cartridge, too, and wear & tear but that's minimal.  Then I could email the exhibits to the agency and not bother shipping.

MAYBE I'D DO IT.  It depends on how many pages.  Not sure at what point it becomes burdensome.  I don't think I've ever printed more than 20 pages, if that, and wasn't offered any remuneration and didn't ask.

Well, I've recently been asked to print 300 x two copies and in color when they were color.

I said I couldn't accommodate it.

Then I've been asked to print around 100 pages a few times.   It's still time-consuming.

My printer is older too and toner is expensive for it.

So they've asked me to go take it to Kinkos and get them printed............it's too time-consuming.

300 pages x .20 = $60 x 2 = $120

Much cheaper to ship.

I would decline to print that.  That's ridiculous and burdensome.

If it's too late for them to ship it priority overnight, then it's also too late for you to go to Kinkos I'd think.

FedEx picks up up to 7:30 p.m. where I live  A package can be dropped off at a FedEx depot even later, I'm sure.  So I say this is not the CR's problem but it's the lawyer's problem.
