Or it very well could just be me and not necessarily the AI. I am on Eclipse. Until recently, the AI (artificial intelligence) has been doing an excellent job of guessing my shadowed strokes, etc., but now it's simply coming up as gibberish. I don't know if it's because I've accidentally checked/unchecked something in my editing. Sometimes I'm editing so quickly that funky screens come up, and I just close them without knowing exactly what I did.

How do I get my stupid AI back on track? Is there a checkbox/setting or something that I might have screwed up? Please help, 'cause this is sooo annoying.

Thanks!

Hi Quyen,

There are a couple of things I thought it could be. One is in the Translate tab, make sure the box is checked for Fix Mistrokes During Translation and that your dragged and dropped keys are listed underneath. The other thing is also in the Translate tab, for Phonetic Type, select Intelligent instead of Basic. Have you programmed your phonetics? That improves the translation, too. For example, I use STK as Z, so I programmed that.

Quyen,

Have you downloaded a new version lately? When I download a new version, sometimes some of my settings get tweaked.
Thanks, guys! Okay, so it's not stupid AI. It's stupid me! :P

I was messing with the "Translate" tab and the dragged and dropped keys thingy, and that's what screwed me up. I just completely forgot that I'M the idiot who messed myself up!

Thanks again! Y'all are the bestests! ;)

Oh, yeah . . . and I cut my nails, so I'm writing like a superstar!
Glad I'm not the only one who writes better with short nails. Until I started reporting school, I kept my nails very long. Over the last 32 years of reporting, I've tried to grow them out, even just a little bit. But even that little bit makes a big difference when I hear a "click" instead of silence when I'm writing. I really miss doing the nails, pretty polish and things ... doesn't really look right on short, short nails (for me) ... but I have much more control when I can feel every stroke on the pads of my fingers. I don't know how you gals can write with long nails ... I've seen some of you clicking away. More power to you! Sadly, I just can't do it.
