I am using For the Record software when I need to use audio from a WAV file. I can't get the keyboard commands to work or the foot pedal. I have to use the mouse. Any suggestions? Do I need to re-install it? TIA

Hello Reporters,

   I am a 30-year veteran CSR living in San Diego and now transitioning into SCOPING and/or PROOFREADING for others.  I use CASE CATALYST. I have vast experience scoping my own jobs.  I read steno and will use AudioSync.  I am familiar with all areas of civil litigation, have a great vocabulary and excellent punctuation skills.  I am conscientious, meticulous, and prompt.  I am well aware of all the bells and whistles involved in depo reporting.

   I'll work on the weekends and am available for expedites.  I am looking for overflow, part-time, or full-time work.  I am also open to working with reporters outside my area, in other parts of the country.  My page rates are negotiable, depending on turnaround, audio (none, spot check, or full), and amount of terminology or Internet research required.

I am an experienced, professional scopist/proofreader accepting any types of jobs (depositions, court, meetings, dailies, expedites, etc.).  My work history includes 20+ years as a scopist and proofreader, as well as 13 years (to present) as a court reporter.  (I also worked for three years as a high school English teacher and six years as a legal secretary before beginning my court reporting practice.)  I have a bachelor of science degree in English and a technical certification in computer science, as well as my training in machine shorthand.

My software is Case CATalyst 11 with AudioSync.  I also use ExpressScribe for digital audio files.
