My discussion is directed towards anyone who has experience with CRID/H, preferably their online program. I am changing schools and am seriously looking into this one as if fits my schedule better. I just want to know your experiences: good, bad and the ugly. All responses are wecome. Thanks in advance.

I have experience with CRIH. I have gone to there night program for three years and I am in my 180s. If you look at my previous post, those are the problems that I am (and other students) are currently having with the school. I cannot speculate as to their online program, but CRIH is definitely (in my opinion) not where you want to go to start you CR education. I don't know about Dallas, or the either daytime program; but the night program is definitely not where you want to spend your hard earned dollars.
I have been doing the online classes at CRID for a little over a year. I do not have anything else to compare it too, so in my opinion iy is ok. I think you have to put in to something what you want back. I have been in a slump for the past 3 months and I am really trying to gather the motivation to continue. I wonder sometimes if actually going to a classroom might help.

Hey there! I'm Cale. Good to meet you.

I attended the Court Reporting Institute of Houston back when it was first experimenting with an online program (at least I believe it was), So I can't tell you directly how their online program is, but I can give you some feedback on more of the overall satisfaction I had with the institution in general.

The people who taught all the courses at CRIH were extremely competent and most were reporters themselves at one point or another. I know that one of the instructors who is sort of heading-up the online component, Steve Shastay, was one of the absolute best teachers I've had in any schooling I've ever done. I really look up to him, and his advice was almost life-saving. If there's any way to reserve time with him on your online training, you'd be doing yourself a big favor.

I was pleased with my education at CRIH, very much so. They took me as a day 1 student and carried me all the way through to getting my CSR license successfully. I contribute a lot of my success to them.

I hope this helped at least a little bit.

I did not have a good experience at this school, although I learned a lot from my experience there.

I currently attend the College of Court Reporting, which is in Hobart, Indiana.  I am an online student, and I love it there.
