Well, I know times are tough and Thanksgiving is around the corner, the season of overeating. And to help keep your tables groaning, I am coming to you with the latest and greatest.

I just bought my 24 pound Butterball turkey at Pavilions for $8.99 with a $25 minimum purchase. I don't know about you, but prices at the stores have gone so high, I was able to easily make the minimum. I think turkeys that are 16 pounds and uner are $6.99. So if you're wondering where you can get a good turkey, try your local Pavilions.

You know, I think we used to have a discussion on here about sales and stuff. I don't know what happened to it. I'm sure it's still around somewhere. But w/the holiday season coming and the economy the way it is, I bet there's going to be tons of sales going on. We should resurrect that thread here in the SoCal forum.

Thanks for the info, Kyung. We haven't gotten our turkey yet. I hope they still have some left. God, I LOVE turkey. I don't know why I don't eat it more throughout the year.
Probably bec. a good roasted turkey is quite a PITA to make. My turkey is a two-day affair of brining and whatnot. But it is pretty good.
I'm the luckiest person in the world because my husband does all the cooking. I really can't cook to save my life. It's like an art form that requires lots of timing and patience, qualities I must be lacking in, I guess.

I remember my mom saying to me, "You'd better get up here and watch me. I'm not goiing to be around forever to teach you." So I'm very blessed I found a man who loves to cook beause I never did learn.
You've got to have timing and patience. Your job requires it.
