They're just outings I organize to give us all a chance to get together with other reporters and chat, compare notes, commisterate, and celebrate being in job no one understands but us. And we all come to these things usually not knowing a soul but leaving with several new friends.

3rd was on 9/30/07 at The Pike in Long Beach.
4th was on 12/9/07 at The Standard Hotel in downtown LA.
5th was on 1/27/08 at Sushi Dan's in Hollywood.
6th was on 4/13/08 at PF Chang's at the Irvine Spectrum.
7th was on 6/22/08 at the Japanese tea house at Descanso Gardens.
8th was on 7/25/08 at the lounge at Ruth's Chris Steak House in Anaheim, close to the NCRA convention.
9th was on 10/19/08 at 4:00 p.m. at the W Hotel's rooftop bar in downtown San Diego.
10th was on Sunday, 11/23/08, at 4:30 p.m. at Magnolia on Lake in Pasadena.
11th was on Saturday, 1-31-09, at 5:00 p.m. at The Standard Hotel's rooftop lounge in downtown LA.
12th was on Saturday, 4/18/09, at 9:00 p.m. at The Winery restaurant in at The District in Tustin.
13th was on Sunday, 9-27-09, at 3:00 p.m at the ADCB Lounge in the Mondrian Hotel on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood.
-- Steve from StenoCast gave us a demonstration of their wireless realtime products.  

The 14th will be on Sunday, 12/13/09 at 4:00 p.m. at The Melting Pot in Irvine. Happy hour prices on drinks and fondue!! Woo-hoo! If you would like to be on the Evite invitation list, email me at [e-mail].

Yay, Kyung, glad you're coming. Did you get your eVite? If you did, be sure to reply on there so people can see you'd be willing to carpool from OC. If not, let me know your current email address to be sure I have it right. I think I sent it to your cox address.

Virginia, you should really come anyway and just have water. You don't have to drink or even spend a dime when you come to these things. But, of course, there will be future outings that I'm sure will work into your schedule better. Hope to see you at one of them.

I'm thinking of doing an exciting SATURDAY NIGHT outing for the next one. Woohoo! All are welcome - reporters, agencies, agencies' staff, videographers, scopists, proofreaders.
Here's what I'm thinking:
TIME: 7 p.m., Saturday, January 17th

Let me know your thoughts and if you think you could come. I need to get an idea of how big our group will be.
