I just can't motivate myself to work out. Unless I drag my sorry behind out of bed at 6 a.m. then I can do 30 minutes on the treadmill. But I'm not a morning person - and if I oversleep, or go to bed late, it doesn't happen.

but really, how do you motivate yourselves?

I agree with you Trina. I started back to walking a few weeks ago and I feel much better. I set my alarm for 4:45 and try to get up by 5pm and by 5:30, I'm on the treadmill (on days when I don't have school, I'm outside walking). I'm lazy but I know if I don't do it in the morning, it's not going to get done. I need my tunes to keep me moving when I walk around my neighborhood, but the I'm watching Good Day Sacramento while on the treadmill.

I think walking outside is much better than the treadmill. You get fresh air, scenery, and you can't just stop. You have to keep moving if you want to get home. lol!
Linda...

I wish I could walk outside, but even early in the day here the humidity is brutal. I love the South, don't get me wrong, but from late May to early September, I hardly EVER go out to exercise. :)

I have a TV in the same room as my treadmill and watch DVR'd stuff - so it ends up being a longer workout than just the 30 minutes. Tricky, but that's what works for me, The Princess of Lazy.
Hey, I feel you. I live in California, but I visited Florida in June once and it was horrendous! I never want to do that again. That's a good strategy for working out. Set that DVR for my favorite. I need to do that.
see, my main thing is nothing really motivates me. I mean, I'm truly lazy.

The only thing at this point that is even making a dent is the fact that I've gained half of my chemo wait back (drat it all!) and I don't want to go back in the "fat" clothes again. Swore I'd never buy another 20 or XL again.

drinking water. but, still, getting up and forcing myself, before the morning coffee is all I can do. I tell my husband to make sure I am on the treadmill before I get my coffee (he's trying - but he doesn't get it - he's a big athlete/triathlete and works out at least once a day, sometimes twice).

but I've now done the 30 days of my hundred... and it's not HORRIBLE. Just not fun either.

but mom never said life was easy... or fair.
