This group is for Version 5 users to share what aspects of Version 5 they are using and why.....as well as requests for help as problems arise using Version 5.

I just downloaded Version 5 (a year after it came out), and I feel like I'm learning Eclipse all over again.

Would greatly appreciate input from other Version 5 users.

The dates are April 27-29. Registration will be available sometime this coming week for the early, early bird prices

The hotel is the Flamingo and can already be booked at the ESPN group rate.

I just downloaded the .18 update just now. Hope it works and doesn't mess anything up because I have a RT job tomorrow. Got my fingers crossed.

AutoBrief is reminding me of phrases I have in my dictionary that I just didn't use because the speaker is so slow there was no need to use the phrase. I like the idea of it reminding me of briefs I've recently adopted but it seems a shame to waste the space reminding me of things I know about but just did not use.

I'm thinking about putting the reminder window down to zero.

Anybody run across this?

Comment by Kelli Combs (admin) on November 13, 2011 at 8:10: Yeah, she's not very Windows savvy and I have to constantly tell her how to retrieve and send files. She had it all set up with T3 (send and receive ecl/wav files) but she had to upgrade to V5 if she wanted my work. That's where the problem started. When she went to send the job back through T3, it retrieved it in V4, the unedited version and sent it back to me.

I do admit, it's hard to get V5 set up in your list of where to retrieve files on V5. But I called her and walked her through going to V5 and getting the file and mailing it regular to me but it still was the unedited version. I was perplexed to say the least. Tech support finally fixed the problem, though. Good thing because I was going to start editing my own jobs this morning.
