Eclipse Version 5 Users

This group is for Version 5 users to share what aspects of Version 5 they are using and why.....as well as requests for help as problems arise using Version 5.

I just downloaded Version 5 (a year after it came out), and I feel like I'm learning Eclipse all over again.

Would greatly appreciate input from other Version 5 users.

Welcome to our group, Kristen.....there's all kinds of good info here for you about Version 5!

You're welcome.  That was one of those things that would drive you nuts until you got it solved.  I kept sending jobs to my old Laura folder until I realized they need to go to a new location.  Version 5 would probably make a new shortcut automatically for someone using XP, but things work a little different with Win7.

Thanks so much, Laura.  That was exactly what I was wanting!  I knew there was a way!

Okay.  I think I did it.  Thank you, Laura.

LOL.  You can follow the same process to add SendTo shortcuts to other places, like a specific folder on an external drive or an archive folder.

Thanks, Laura.  That's awesome.  You are quite computer savvy.  I know enough to be dangerous.

Go to the Run box (press the Windows key and the R key) and type shell:sendto to get into the SendTo folder.  Right click and choose New/Shortcut and browse to your new Kelli folder.  The path will be something like Computer\C:\Users\Kelli\MyDocuments\Eclipse\Kelli.  Click on the last Kelli there for the shortcut and type a name when prompted, like Kelli v5 or something since you already have a SendTo shortcut to your old Kelli folder.

The lack of the SendTo folder is a Win7 thing, not just version 5.  Don't give up on 5 yet!
