K...so apparently I posted a comment first, w/out accepting your "friend" message. Oops! Well, officially I accept your invite!
    Fantastic site, Monti.

    Hi Denise,
I am on CaseCat also and am in need of a scopist when I get overloaded when it comes in waves, and I need a good backup that I can depend on. Please send me your turnaround time and rates to: aprilgedney@ca.rr.com
    Thanks!
  • Kyung

Thanks for the offer, but I am on Total Eclipse and I currently do have a scopist and an overflow scopist.

    Thanks.

    Hi Denise,

I am looking to find another scopist as well as trying to find someone who can edit scope a transcript for me today, just a rough, and I need it by tomorrow morning. It's about 100 pages, and just need a rough. If you are available, let me know and obviously it's an expedited rate.
    Thanks,
    Ariela 310-844-4347 arielasara@cs.com

Hi Denise! Thanks for reaching out and saying hi. I've decided to move from a corporate career to scoping (after a good deal of research). I've completed my training, have my diploma, and have been working for months on practice files other scopists have sent to me.

I want to do this full-time, and am looking for that first break! This website has been very helpful in seeing what is going on and some of the challenges reporters have with their scopists.

I hope I added you as a friend correctly. Let me know if it didn't work! Teresa

I'm sorry for your sister's loss. Remember to tell her to rejoice and look forward to the day that she WILL get to live with her husband again on the paradise Earth that is to come. (Matthew 6:9-13)
  • Patricia Babits

I don't see why not. Can't hurt, might help!
  • Michelle DeSanti

Thanks for the great comment and friend invite :). Nice to meet you.
  • Michael D. Chaney

    My Dear Sister in Christ,
Thank you for the honor of being your friend. One can always use more friends, especially with the Master up there watching to see if his most precious connect with each other. Let's not let him down. Well, thank you for your nice comments, and thank you for checking out my site and my responses to everybody. That helps me a lot, because I won't have to repeat. I'll assume you know of all that I've typed up, at least I hope. Well, I guess you should know by now that I write diatribes. Sorry about that, but I guess I keep trying to type as fast as I think, and that's pretty fast. I'll never catch up; but anyhow, I think I've noticed that you are in Orange county. I wonder will you be attending the Anaheim convention? I will be there for the first time....get that: almost 20 years and I've never been to a convention before. Well, I'm just happy to be among so many of my colleagues from all over the nation and our special assistants/helpers like yourself. I hope to see you there. If you don't plan on officially attending, just stop in and visit to see what's going on. We can touch base and maybe do lunch or something, drink or whatever. Nice way to establish business also. Think about it. I wish I could see you picture to see who my new friend is, but I guess in due time. Until we meet again, Peace out and may God Bless. Again, thank you, it 's all MY honor to be YOUR friend. You're special. P.S. -- My condolences also for your recent loss. I'm sure, from seeing how special and precious you are, that she is resting in the loving arms of our Lord & she is hoping that you don't worry about her, for she is in paradise now....you'll join her one day and I'm sure she'll meet you when you arrive. Peace out, Baby.
  • Michael D. Chaney

I see I have a slight misunderstanding; it wasn't your sister, but your sister's husband. I am so sorry; Same condolences, of course. I asked you earlier about the Anaheim Convention and our National comrades. Also, the State convention will be in October which I will also attend and it's in Las Vegas. Will you be able to hang? Just wondering. Answer soon, peace out.
  • Kyung

No problem. Sounds like a great weekend.
  • SHAWNEE

thanks you so much. I really appreciate it. I look forward to using a scopist in the future so i might just have to take you up on that. well have a great day. thanks for the comment.

Denise, I got your e-mail today. I'm glad you found me here on CSRNation. I can definitely forward your information to my reporters and anyone that asks for scopists (I get asked that frequently). However, we are still very small and not at all busy enough to take on an in-house scopist or proofreader. So forward me whatever info. you want me to pass on to others (your contact info, rates you charge, etc.), and I'll include you in my recommendations. By the way, I see you listed yourself also as a transcriptionist. Does that mean you are willing to transcribe cassette tapes and/or other audio recordings for our agency if we need you? We have a few clients that don't require certified reporters to transcribe audio files, so let me know!
  • Joyce Izor

Thanks for the birthday greeting, Denise!
  • Sheena Stobaugh

    Thank you, Denise!
  • Shawna Ingle

Awwww.... That, alone, makes me want to befriend AND send you chocolate just because you DIDN'T ask! :D BTW, if that's your pic, you're quite the cute little kitten! ;)
  • Brooke Gallaugher

Hi Denise. Thank you for letting me know about you. I am not ready to have a scopist right now. However, I am looking for proofreaders. Please let me know if you have any recommendations. Thank you. Brooke
  • Aimee Marth

You can always work in courts.

I was just intrigued by intellectual property laws and that is why I did the career change. I love IP law and love preparing patent applications. I'm not smart enough to practice IP law, as you have to be an engineer to be an IP lawyer, so I am doing the patent assistant thing.

Everyone is different so you just have to do what makes you happy. Life is too shirt to not do something you love.

    Denise,
I am a court reporter in Orange County and I am looking for a scopist. I take some difficult work, more technical than medical, and have been a reporter for 30 years. I am looking to have some of my work scoped. I've used a scopist in the past, but my scopist has gone back to reporter!
If you are interested in talking, please email me at calbards@cox.net
    Thanx,
    Denise Bardsley

    Denise,

I'm a court reporter in Naples, Florida looking for a full-time scopist. I have a high volume of work and I'm an excellent writer. I would like to just be able to scan my transcripts, so I'm looking for someone who is into perfection.

Please email me at loribundy@yahoo.com to talk further. I look forward to hearing from you.

    Hi Denise,

I saw you post and wanted to say Hello and introduce myself. I have only been on this site for a few days and I love it. It's such a great way to be in touch with people in our same line of work.

    I like your page, too.

    Joan

    Hi Denise,
Thanks for being my friend! : )
That's my grandaughter, Madison! She's a lot of fun! She was born with a little woman attitude and it hasn't changed.
    It's great to meet you.
How has business been for you? Mine is going pretty good, but I'm always looking to add to it. I thought getting to actually know a little about how it's going for everyone else would be a plus.
I really like this site, and thanks for the compliment on my page, it's fun to play with it.
  • Erica Ruggieri

Hi Denise. I got someone to cover today. Thanks for getting back tome and I will keep you in my book for the future.
  • Mary Lynn Cushing

    Denise,
Sorry it took my so long to get back to you. I was out of town for a few days. I have 2 machines and had to choose between the Mira and the Gemini. I do like the touch of the Mira. but the Gemini has the separate little tablet with it that I really like. I had trouble getting my software loaded on to the Gemini, but those bugs have all been worked out. I don't need 2 machines and really want to sell the Gemini. I will sell it at a great price. A new one is around 3600 if you trade in an old machine. Without a trade in it would cost around 4200. It is brand new!! Willing to negotiate to sell it. Let me know.
    THANKS!

    Mary Lynn Cushing
  • Mary Lynn Cushing

I like the Gemini a lot with the little table. That is a really neat feature. To tell you the truth, I am just use to the old style machine. I am too old for change. They say it is great to prevent carpal tunnel. I plan on retiring in the next 5 years. See, I told you I was too old for change. The machine is probably going to be the up and coming thing. The company I bought from was very helpful, but I got frustrated trying to load my Cat on it. There is no problem with that now. I guess it was a little kink. It works geat!

Lake Dardenelle, Arkansas. It was taken last year when we were over there for my son's regional fishing tournament. Unfortunately, he didn't place but we had a good time.
