I have been proofreading for court reporters as my full-time job since 1998. I receive an ASCII from you, call it up in MS Word, and make corrections that look like this: Did you here*/hear/ what I said.*/?/ Corrections are bold and in red. Then I send back the Word doc to you.

Experienced, no-frills proofreader actively seeking steady work. I prefer .txt files and provide a simple errata sheet with corrections and queries. I maintain running word lists for each case and double-check all names, addresses, and industry terminology for quality assurance. I have a rate sheet, but it is not engraved in stone (much more interested in steady, weekly work), and my current reporter can be contacted as a reference. My availability is immediate.
