Feel free to pick away. Not too much up there regarding Federal, but if you can squeeze anything out, you're welcome to it.

Hello,

It was great meeting you yesterday.

I know what you mean. Almost all of the reporters at my firm have been reporting for around 20 years. I worked part-time for my firm while I was in school, so I got to know them pretty well. It comes in handy when I have a question. ;)
Anyway, I was happy to start out slow. I was in school for three years, though, and the bills have piled up. We really couldn't afford for me to go back to school when I did, but we decided to do it anyway. It's kind of like having kids: If you wait until you can afford it, you'll never have any. So we charged a lot and my husband carried the load while I was in school. Now I need to make some money to try to start getting out of debt!
I think you'll really like McKinney. To me it still feels like a small town, but everything you need is close by. I grew up in a small town, and the only thing I hated about it was the 30-minute drive just to go to Wal-Mart. Where I live now is only about a mile from one of the three Wal-Mart stores in McKinney, and I have my choice of grocery stores all within a half mile. It's like the best of both worlds!

I have lived in McKinney for about six years now, and I love it here. I actually don't live very far from Lake Forest and Virginia. I live off of Eldorado Parkway, which is south of Virginia but crosses Lake Forest as well.
As for work, I'm probably not the best one to answer that. Things are kind of slow at my firm right now, and I am a new CSR (less than a year), and so I don't have any clients of my own yet. But I have a couple of friends who work for other firms, and they are staying pretty busy.

Hi, Kelly,
I saw your post on Janice McMoran's page asking about work in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I am a freelance CSR, and I live in McKinney. What part of town are you moving/have you moved to?

Hey, that's great! You'll love McKinney. It's kind of out in the woods but not really. Can't say you're going to have too much fun driving north and south on Central Expressway (75), though!
It might just make you move south to Mansfield with us.
Some people are slow down here but I've never been busier. I think it's all about the contacts you make and how you treat people and their client, the quality of your product.
Let me know when you get here!
