Would I write "R-rated" or "R rated" as in the sense that "The movie was R rated."

I'm a court reporting student, too. I'm in the San Gabriel Valley area, and I'm going to transfer to Downey College in January. So excited for that! But not too excited for the 5 Freeway commute! Oh well! :P Hehehe.
