Hi, again, everybody,

It is true that the older I get, the more things change. I now proofread only and no longer work as a freelance reporter or scopist. I have experienced a negative surgical outcome from a back surgery which has made me wheelchair bound, and I have a plethora of medical issues which have slowed my hands down, impairing my ability to scope. Thus, I am a proofreader.

To reintroduce myself, I have been a freelance court reporter since graduating with an AA from court reporting school in 2000. I also have a BA from Wheaton College (1982, magna cum laude) in French and Russian. I live outside of in Massachusetts in senior handicapped housing.

As a freelance reporter, I took depositions, trials, arbitrations, meetings, and hearings of all types. I loved medicals the most, probably because I was a medical administrative assistant and medical transcriptionist when I was working my way through college. I did medical-legal transcription for an ob/gyn as well.

As your proofreader, I will work on your transcript with care and pride. If you have a question to which I don't know the answer, I will do my best to find it. 
I keep close track on my emails and calls/texts. If I am going to be hospitalized or overburdened with medical issues, I'll let you know as soon as I do. I won't accept work that I know I can't turn around in a timely fashion.
