Notihing out of the ordinary. Feels like 'mine' now. One thing I really like is having an 'extra' computer! I still have my laptop at home, and I copy my files I worked on onto the USB storage that comes with the unit and put it on my laptop. So I have an extra copy of my files now, as long as I wait to delete them off my tablet. I like that. plus, I am not 'out' of a computer if, God willing, something were to happen to my laptop! I could still keep working until I could replace that. What a big relief to my mind!!

I did find one thing that is 'free' and cool and kind of a 'backup' for your computer system....Mojopac.com it creates a whole new C drive of your system on any portable storage you have! So I technically now have three backups of Case I can turn on w/my key and begin working!! My laptop, tablet and on my portable in Mojopac. :)

Off to edit up my Boards and then work on the job from yesterday....all of these are due w/in the next two weeks! So hoping I don't have to go out next week, lol.

*~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~Adding this info for others. Shawn was asking questions and I replied at his page, so wanted to share it here too.

Hi, Rhoda. All still going well with the Revo?
***Yes, I am still enjoying it.

I'm sitting on the fence about ordering one. I've been on a trial with the Lightspeed for a few weeks. It's improved from when I first got it, but I think it just may not be right for me. Just not enough key travel for me. I'm okay when things are slow, but when it gets fast, that's when it seems to be an issue. Guess I may be in the minority, since so many are raving about it.
***I would love to test that one too, lol. Seems we all are searching for the perfect machine!

The ergo benefits are what interest me about the Revo. There were just so many complaints about Geminis on the past models up to the Piper that I was leery.
***I have the Gemini2 and have actually loved it. Started during school around 120WPM tho, so maybe that helped me??? I think the keyboard got 'broken' in too?? I have NO real stacking with that machine, just 'my' writing problems. Is kind of hard moving to such a light touch.

Does the Revo seem to be better quality?
***Yes. The holder for the tablet is better than the PDA holder I had on my Gemini2. The machine holder/adjuster knobs are MUCH nicer and easier to control and adjust and they stay locked MUCH better on machine position. I rest mine on my lap tho, so that issue really never bothered me.

You stated stacking didn't seem to be a major issue?
***So far, that I notice. I have not gotten too far into editing my transcripts where I have used it, as I had older transcripts to get done, lol. I should have more thoughts later. But, again, I think going to the light touch is very strange!! I think it will take time for me to decide which keys I 'need' to adjust/etc, KWIM?? I know my job yesterday I felt really good about. It is very clean. They only talked around 180 tho, lol. I would vote on the faster talkers/more stacking as your fingers may not be 'leaving' the keys quick enough. I 'barely' had to touch my E for it to appear!! I adjusted that one fast, lol. I did have that issue on my Gemini2 tho...that dang E!

Is the keyboard action a big improvement over your squared model?
***Hmmm, Again, I think I had my G2 so broken in, I loved my keyboard. I even bought the separate 'new' keyboard when the Piper came out; got it and put it on and took it off w/in a day!! It did NOT write better, lol. I think the G2 had a different space on it for the keyboard, as it seemed awful tight, too. I am still trying to get used to the light touch.

Sorry so many Q's. I just don't want to get it and be disappointed as I was with the LS. Those darn restocking fees are gonna kill me!
***I am at the point that these machines are all a 'personal' thing. And they all take a LOT of getting used to. I think Gemini used to quote 14 days or something to get used to it?? And that would be daily writing, I believe. That LS looks very cool tho! I wish they would allow trial periods of the Gemini again, but they had too many people NOT return them! Can you believe that?? Hmm, after doing Parole Boards I 'can' believe that, lol.

I'm currently on a Cybra after being on a Stentura 8000.
Hope all went well on Day 3.
Shawn

***Ask me anything. I am trying to explain how it is going, but feel I am not 'telling' all I could, lol. I may copy/paste this talk into my blog too. I love the ergonomics so will be giving the Rev a long period of time to get used to. Just that touch is probably the hardest, lol. I can vote with others that it 'is' the person and not necesarily the 'machine' as was brought up in a discussion about the Myra that I read. There just needs to be an easy way for people to 'figure out' what keys they 'need' to adjust, as when you stack there is a jumble of keys....and you have to figure out which 'one' or 'two' or more keys you want to 'adjust'. But, to me, that should come as I write more and see the same stuff coming up?? Or what I am hoping, lol!
