Hey, Everybody,

I just recently got updated to 10.3 on Case CATalyst. One of the new features is "Brief it." I used it today and I really think I'm going to like it. The software watches what's going on in the transcript and comes up w/ some one-stroke briefs for you as you are writing along. Some of them are kind of whacky but I chose to use a couple of them and it really helped me out. I found out my hands really held up a lot better b/c I was able to use one strokes for certain words and word combinations. I do this for myself but the software really keeps track of what they are saying and comes up with things I wouldn't think of on my own.

My hands felt really good when I was done and not as tired as usual. This is the second time I have used it so I don't know a lot about it but so far I'm really encouraged. I'm anxious to use it on a 300-page day and see how much it helps.

I'm interested to know if you all have used this and what your experience has been.

Thanks,
Janiece

I am using Brief It for a 9-day civil trial we just started. It has been helpful. I also am using the briefpedia.com site. That's awesome. I can write the phrase "expansive soils" in one stroke! Yea for me!

I've used it on a few depos and thought it was pretty good. My only problem is I start paying too much attention to the Brief It then the depo so I usually have to shut it down. Some of the suggestions are strange, but I did use them.
