Frustration continues

I have resolved that I am going to get my payment come hell or high water.

My husband is helping me in this endeavor by calling their office 3 times today and is going there tomorrow to get the "promised" check that probably won't be there.

The e-mails I am getting from the owner seem to be the runaround like I'll Fed Ex a check and don't send your husband here, he is bothering my staff.

i just sent an e-mail saying that since they didn't pay me, I can only assume they didn't get paid and I will seek to collect from their clients starting on Tuesday.

I am usually the nicest person on the planet, but when it comes to money and needing to feed my family, I turn into a momma bear. Don't tread on me.

Hey Lisa, I am SOOO sorry to hear about what's happening to you. I bet I know exactly who you're talking about. But rest assured, I finally got MY money from this agency after months of back and forth and getting an attorney friend of mine involved to "speed" up the payment process. But just keep your head up and remember you will hopefully eventually get paid, it just sucks to wait and wait and wait and wait. I really don't know HOW they stay in business. They stiffed me and at least four other close reporter friends of mine over two years ago, and they are still up and running. I just don't get it. =(

yes, they are, Monti, but I haven't named anyone yet. I'll just say they are more than notorious in the Chicago area for stiffing reporters.
