How would you consider invoicing a Livenote internet streaming depo which has five people viewing remotely? If the agency is getting a fee, shouldn't the reporter be getting a percentage of that?

Marla posted rates for the Los Angeles area. While the page rate for the actual depo might be different than TN, I'd think the rough & hookup payment to the reporter would be the same throughout the country.

I suppose it is a matter of trust

Ain't that the truth.

I usually try to get the appearances of the individuals on the stream, but was not possible yesterday. I believe that an ethical court reporting agency will be upfront about the number of parties, but it is very difficult to actually know. I suppose it is a matter of trust if you do not have the appropriate screening software.

Anita,

In the above scenario by Lipka, how would the reporter know the agency is telling the truth that all five feeds are going to the same law firm?

I know nothing about Livenote streaming. Who enters the info of who is getting the feeds? Do you transmit to the agency, Livenote, or do you transmit the individual feeds yourself? I know with Eclipse's TeleView that the reporter controls who is receiving streaming feeds.
