NY TV exec Beheads Wife over divorce...

This is awful...
From what I have read on several sites, he was the founder of an organization/tv show that was geared toward enlightening people on the Muslim culture and to disband any negative notions that the general population has towards Muslims.

I still feel we should all be open minded and not look at people as a whole group but individually. This man clearly had personal issues that he needed addressed. His views and actions are definitely not to be understood as the views and actions of all Muslims.

The sad part here is, there are many people out there that are just too ignorant to separate this incident from the whole Muslim culture and this tragic event will only strengthen their racism or hatred toward Muslims.

Any other views out there?

Because he is a Muslim it is suddenly an issue... I am a Muslim and I can assure you I have never seen anyone get beheaded in my "culture" and I can also assure you my mom, sisters and all the women in my family still have their heads intact.

Not long ago, an article was posted on CSRnation about a man that went in with guns blazing, shooting a little girl in the face and killing many before burning the house and everyone in it... he was judged as being a murderer that would hopefully burn in hell for his actions. (not for being a christian or American

Lets just judge this man for his actions which will hopefully also land him in hell.

Guys, there are 21 Arab countries, 20% to 30% are christian (depending on the country), my mom is a christian. my cousin married a christian man and my brother is in love with a christian women.
If any of you ever visit Jordan, Lebanon and even Syria you will come back a different person, many westerners are shocked at the level of acceptance and welcome they receive.

Long live love and understanding.. or we gonna end up like this sketch.

Domestic Violence is domestic violence - in any form, in any culture, in any religion. I agree that no amount of culture, radical belief or zealot type religions should have a bearing on this crime in this country. I think this defines what is civil and what is not. I feel so sorry for the children and the wife, but since it happened, I'm glad it happened here so our society can take a stand - and let's hope it's a strong one!

Personally, I don't think culture or radical beliefs or citizen or non-citizen should bare any meaning on the depth of love a person should have for their spouse. I do understand that some acts (i.e. divorce) are looked at very casually in some cultures and others it is a disgrace or familial embarrassment. However, if you truly love the person you are married to, even through hard times, cheating, divorce, etc.... beheading is a ridiculous method of restitution. Besides, she obviously had good reason to divorce him - she knew what he was capable of. He already proved himself to be violent and that's why she had a protective order filed against him. That order clearly did not matter to him....
