Question for California Reporters on "marking" a portion of a transcript

I have had a California attorney say on the record, "I want that marked." I would appreciate input from any California reporters. Do you just indicate it on your index page? It wasn't a question. It was actually a little dust-up between the attorneys. Please give me your advice.
Thanks,
Janiece

Quyen,
Thanks for your help. That clears it up for me.
Thanks for the example.

Darn it! I posted an answer but accidentally deleted it instead of editing it. Okay, so here goes again.

Yes, I just indicate it on the index page, specifically and literally the request by the attorney to mark, not what I "think" should be marked. For example:

--oOo--
REQUEST(S) TO MARK

Page Line
13 18

It's not going to be lined up correctly here, but you get the idea. :)

The page (13) and line number (18) refer to where the attorney said, "I want that marked."
