I am a Court Reporting/Captioning student and would like to know what is needed to become a Scopist? With all the classes I've taken  come to find out that I now have a Scopist Certificate and not sure what to do with it.

Buy some scoping software (Eclipse and CaseCAT are the main ones) and then learn how to use it.  Try to find a tolerant reporter that wouldn't mind teaching you how things should look.  I took an ex-reporter and have been teaching her to be a scopist.  I think it was a while back when she was a reporter because she forgot a lot of basic stuff.

Anyway, that's a start.
