Site Usage Tips

Hi everyone,

This is my first blog... a question to all of you:

"What tips do you have for navigating around this website?"

I love the conversations here, but can't seem to organize everything in my head about getting back to see replies to comments I've made, keeping up with newly-updated club activity, and knowing how to connect the email alerts received to the specific spot in the website... Then, there's the question of, What are the exact distinctions between "blog," "discussion," "comment," and "reply"? (I have some hazy idea...)
Does everyone feel as disorganized, wandering in a chaotic bliss of discovery, as I do on this site?

Hello Jennie,
yes you can, and its very easy.

1- copy the link you wish to use.
2- Highlight the text you wish to make clickable "click here"
3- click on the 5th icon on the top of the text box (where you type the text, the icon next to the black camera)
4- Paste the linkyou copied in the pop up box and click ok.
thats it.

Can we insert links? If so, how do you do it? I tried the [URL] at the left side of the link and[/URL] at the right side of the link, but it doesn't insert a link. If we cannot insert links, then I won't ever try to do so. I just want to know if we can. TIA!

Yikes! I am so sorry Jenny. I was thinking of facebook.
The "latest activity" feature only shows what you did (and what your friends did ONLY if it was related to one of your groups, discussions, blogs.. etc)

so, if I leave a comment on a blog you started it will show there.

Monti, I'm confused about #3- all your friends activities are shown on your page under activities.
I only see a spot for my activities. I set mine to 0 because I don't want to see what I've been doing, and if someone else wants to leave me a comment, they have to scroll down more. I'd like to see what my friends are up to sometimes. Can you explain further?

I wish there was more room now to see the recent activity on the main page - that far right column. With so many more people - yay! - just the birthday wishes can fill it up! I used to be able to delete my activity there. I miss that feature.

Hello Carilyn,

Its a bit overwhelming at firsat but here are a bunch of tips that will help you as you proceed.

1- Your page is your hub, any discussion, blog, classified, group you participate in will show up on your page.
2- you dont have to participate in the above to receive updates... almost any page on CSRnation has a "follow" button. clicking that button will include you in all future updates via emails sent to you.
3- un-subscribing is as simple as clicking on "stop following"
3- all your friends activities are shown on your page under activities.
4- make sure you join your "cover depo" group in your area to receive instant job offers.
