Blurb question

Does anyone have a good blurb for the playback of an audio tape?

They must have played the same portion of this tape 10 times.

If you actually have to transcribe/take down the audio:

I did the above parentheticals, except it was for a videotape that was played ... of a dating service. I did not take down the video. :)

Thanks! I like yours better than what I had. That blurb actually appeared 14 times in a 65-page transcript.

I keep it simple:
(Audio tape played.)
or
(Video tape played.)

Doesn't matter if it's the same portion or not.

I'll have to double check my steno translation for the actual parenthetical, but I write play/play or vid/vid.
