My first ever deposition

Hey everyone!

I've been lurking here for a while and decided to finally post because today I worked for the first time! Actually, it was an EUO, but still. I was so nervous, but I didn't let it show (or at least I hope I didn't!)

Anyway just wanted to share with my fellow reporters as now, I can consider myself a full fledged reporter :)

That's great! I remember my first dep was an expert witness for hemodiaylsis machines. Glad they gave you an EUO to get your feet wet!

And on February 2nd will be the 10th anniversary of my first dep, and I can honestly say that I still love being a court reporter. I hope wish you much success and hope you feel the same way in 10 years!

I remember my first depo. I had the owner of the firm with me and she just said do it. I was so nervous that I got the swear-in wrong and I was reading it from a card! We laughed after it but I never got it wrong again.

It was good, an EUO so yes I got my proverbial feet wet. :)

I worked again today and it was my first EBT, and I felt much more relaxed. I had my audiosync set up this time, perhaps that's why I felt more relaxed, though I made sure to not rely on it. I guess I was just more at ease knowing I had it there. But for the most part, I think I did well.

I'm still nervous at the beginning but hopefully that will subside. And if not, I know I'll have all my fellow CSRers here for support!
