Anyone know these firms?

Hi. I've been requested to work for a couple of firms about which I know nothing, and after the US Court Reporting deal, I'm a little gunshy about new firms. Any advice about timeliness of payment, etc., would be appreciated.

I've heard of Rocket Reporting. I haven't heard anything bad about them not paying. You could ask Marla to give you the scoop. She's done work for them before.

Well, since you haven't heard anything horrendous about them, they're probably decent. Unless you've been getting lots of private e-mails.

Rocket Reporting, I hear they're nice. I think they pay anywhere between 30 and 60 days. I think they pay for copies upfront. They like their transcripts in by the 8th day.

Thanks for the input. I really appreciate it. At least some of you have heard of them and haven't heard bad things. I used to just accept work from anyone, but I'm more cautious now. Isn't it sad we have to be?
