Judy,

It's great she found her way here. Hopefully, more will follow!

Judy,

It's great to be aboard. Once I find some breathing room, I'm going to figure out how to navigate this forum. At first glance, it's making my head twirl. My husband and I just purchased a Garmin. I actually think I need a Garmin for this forum.

Wishing you all a very happy holiday season.

Well, I don't know Bubbie Karen, I don't think, but if Judy's that excited to have her, so am I.

WELCOME, BUBBIE!!!!
Heck, yes, I'm excited to have Bubbie here. You see, when all that @$^&*($#@ was going down with that situation I was telling you about earlier today, it was Bubbie Karen that found my e-mail address and helped me through the situation (she could also easily have done an Exorcist move on me). I couldn't have gotten through it as well as I did without Bubbie and my husband. Then, to boot, she even called me on a Saturday to see how I was doing. A FABULOUS person. She has a heart of gold. Plus, she has gorgeous grandchildren. Hopefully she'll post some pics of the grandbabies on her page.
Welcome Bubbie Karen!
I'm a blushing. Judy, the compliment you shared in your post is truly a reflection of the gracious and kind person you are. I was SO impressed how you shared honesty with a perfect stranger. I hope and pray that that incident is behind you. I know you are stronger for it.

I must thank Tricia for pointing me towards this forum. She shared a beautiful email she had received from Marla. The tone and tenor of that email was "spot on." So here I am.

When I figure out how to navigate the forum a bit more, I will post pictures of the my grandchildren. I always thank God for health of all my family members, but especially my grandchildren as they are my impetus for making court reporting an art form. They recharge me daily. They happen to be beautiful as well.

Monti and Tami, I look forward to learning about you too.

Bubbie Karen
It is my honor and privilege to introduce you to the members of this board and let them know from the get-go what a wonderful person you are.
Bubbie: (n.) [yiddish] grandmother, also bubbe
Trina,

Judy is absolutely correct. The word means grandmother. But the underlying connotation of the word is a grandmother that sits on the floor and plays with the grandkids, cooks the most delicious chicken and noodle soup that would put Campbell's and Progesso to shame; has arms long enopugh to kiss all grandchildren at the same time. I think you get the picture. I've mentioned this on another forum, but my grandchildren are certainly one of the main impetuses to work. I love my children and grandchildren so much. I am so lucky.

My name on the other forum was Bubbie Karen, but I only signed on here with the Karen Goldenberg. I guess I'll start using Bubbie or Bubbie Karen. It's so meeeeee!!!!!!
I make some killer homemade chicken soup, and I was dubbed "Stretch" (for my long arms ) by my brother-in-law when I used to beat him in basketball when he was just a kid.

I can't wait!!

Well, I really can wait, but when the time comes, I can't wait!
Tami,

You must be a bubbie without even realizing it!!!!!!
I'm a pre-bubbie! :)
