Welcome to CSR Nation
I am transcribing a 4-day arbitration. At the beginning the attys agreed that if they used an exhibit it was admitted. So how would you handle the index? Would you just give the exhibit number, a description and the first page it's mentioned? I can't possibly index every time they use a particular exhibit. Obviously they can get that information from the index the etran will produce.
There are Claimant's exhibits and Respondent's exhibits, so I thought I would split the index into two sections.
I'd appreciate any input. I've done my share of arbitrations, but this is the first time they have handled the exhibits this way.
Thanks for your input.

Janiece, that would be so hard to do. No, you can't index every time they used the exhibit! I don't think I would go so far as to put a blurb each time an exhibit was used. I would probably just make a list of every used exhibit and a short description, that's it. If you can tell whether it's Claimant's or Respondent's, sure, break into two sections. They served you up an unusual situation and you can handle it your way, then they can take it or leave it. So no page references in the index to exhibits, just the number + description, that's my suggestion.
Hope all is well - M.A.
Thanks, Mary Ann.
They had premarked almost all of the exhibits so I'm not going to use a marking blurb except of the very few that I did mark.
Yes, things are going well. Hope things are going well for you too.
