HAS ANYONE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEIR AUDIO SYNC WHERE FOR THE FIRST 100 PAGES OR SO EVERYTHING IS FINE AND THEN THE AUDIO SYNC IS OFF BY APPROXIMATELY 5 MINUTES FOR THE DURATION OF THE JOB?

I'M USING CASE CATALYST 9.

Hi Sandra, I've had this happen to me. What I did was delete some earlier audio files that I didn't need anymore. It did help synchronize the audio with the transcript. I'm not sure what machine you're using, but if that doesn't help, don't forget you have your SD card that has your audio.
Thank you, Irene, I'm going to give it a try :)

I'm curious, Sandra, is the file from your writer or your computer?  If it is from your writer, which writer do you have?

Thanks,

Janiece

My writer is a diamanté but the audio file is from my computer

How strange.  I am a CC user and I have never had that happen.

Yeah, me neither. The last two long jobs I've had this has happened :(

Sandra, have you told Stenograph?

Long-time Catalyst user.  The only time this happens is if you change your computer clock time while in a RT file.  You still have audio (find it using Windows Explorer in your usr\Sandra folder) but audiosynch is killed.  If it's not that, then you have a serious problem.    Let us know what you learn from SG tech support.   Can't be having this happen again.

Not yet. I'll call tomorrow.

Sandra, I ditto what Marge said, please let us know what you find out.

Marge, I did change my clock in realtime. At least now I know what I did to create this problem. I know that doesn't fix this issue with this job, but going forward I won't make the same mistake. Thanks for your input :)
And thank you, Janiece, as well :)

Just takes one time to do that to learn that lesson forever.  The good news is that you have audio.  The bad news is if you need to do a readback that was a big mess, you're on your own. The good news is that it'll never happen again.  If I forget to synch with VAOFR and realize it after RT file has started, either VAOFR changes time or we're off.    No need to bother calling SG actually.  This is totally what happened.  Happened to me once and you can be sure it'll never happen again!
