Suffix help in Case Catalyst

Hi, all.
I have endings defined as:
{Suffix}ing
{Suffix}s
{Suffix}ed

Yet when I write them, occasionally I get them not attaching to the root word, particularly if I pause on that second stroke. Is there anything I can do to get them to attach to the root word even with the pause?

I have never had that happen, so sorry I can't help.  Check to make sure they are not misstrokes, I guess.   Sorry I'm not much help.
