Well, I've have TrustFax for over a month.

I tried the 30-day trial period, which really isn't much of a trial. You only get to send 5 pages outbound. But okay. And they want your credit card. So they automatically started charging my credit after the first 30 days, which I kinda didn't like.

I talked it over with my husband, and we consider it a business expense. I do do some faxing. And it's only $4.95/month to send out 50 pages and receive a hundred.

How it works. You scan the pages you need to send out. Then you upload the pages to their fax server. If you've got a lot of pages and a slow server, this can be a cumbersome process. Also, I realized, if you've scanned them and you know your parties e-mail, you might as well e-mail the pages to them.

But it's helpful for people who need to fax stuff to you. And if you've only got a one or two-page fax.

I guess I'll keep it for now because it's the cheapest I've found, and I guess I do do some faxing. But I think I'll keep looking around sporadically for something cheaper. Mayber a per-use fax service.

Oh, btw, I've sent about 17 pages of faxes to different phone numbers, and they've all gone through without a hitch. So the service is reliable, as far as that goes.

Kyung,

Thanks for the update. This thread caught my eye this morning. Recently, there was an article in our local newspaper about people not using land lines any longer. The only daily use of our phone besides incoming calls is a fax daily for job assignments.

I had also just seen Magic Jack at Walgreens, and thought to myself, "I wonder if this works?"

Magic Jack costs about $40.00. I supposed it would pay for itself in a short time verses paying $5.00/month.

Thanks.
