Hello All.. Please Help!!
While on vacation, I put the internet on my work laptop (big mistake) so I could wirelessly access my office info. All went well until the folks I was staying with had a computer geek come in and fix their internet connection. Immediately afterwards, connecting to the Internet was totally impossible. Didn't think too much of it as I was able to use theirs.
Came home, set up for my first depo, and guess what?? The computer no longer would communicate with the steno machine.
I have an older version of Eclipse...NT2.1.0.9; a Flash Writer (one of the first models) and a Gateway laptop, Windows XP. Also, initially, I had to install USB drivers for the steno-computer communication.
Am suspecting either the computer was tampered with or when I was changing my user settings prior to leaving, I changed something serious.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Probably the com port was changed somewhere in there. I have found they do switch around, particularly if you change something on your computer that is seemingly unrelated to your CR software. I use two computers, an HP and a Dell Inspiron, for work, and they use different com ports. Makes no sense at all to me, but what do I know.

If you call Eclipse Tech Support, they will set you right in no time. If not, you might try one com port after another and see what does work.
