Linda, In looking for a reporter for the Santa Cruz area I came across your group. I was Renee Hunt, and I went to Ohlone, passed the CSR in 1982. It's nice to see you. Is Lillian still around?

FYI, GlobalCAT only works on Windows XP and below. It does not work on Vista or Windows 7. That was the problem I had when I was in theory.

No problem! Just let me know if you have any other questions as you go along.

Kelli,

Depending upon your version of Mac OS, you might already have BootCamp. Here's the bummer, you will have to purchase Windows separately to load onto the Mac. Before you do this, though, check with Linda to find out if Globalcat only runs on certain Windows versions. It's possible that it doesn't run on the new Windows, then it will do you no good to go out and get this. However, when you get to the point of using one of the CAT programs, like Eclipse or Catalyst, then it's no problem.

Susan,

I think it's globalcat, but having windows loaded on the Mac sounds familiar. So where would I go to get Windows for a Mac? Sorry I am new to Mac computers and I have no clue...ha.

Thank you~Kelli

Kelli,

You can use a Mac but only if you have Windows loaded on it (using Fusion or BootCamp). Actually, are you talking about Eclipse or GlobalCat? If GlobalCat, I don't really remember anymore which Windows operating system it is compatible with. But that could be an issue.

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I can use a Mac for the software that Linda gives us to take home?

Thanks~Kelli
