A few days ago I finished the book What Happy People Know: How the New Science of Happiness Can Change Your Life for the Better.

My brother Scot told me to order it, and he was quite upset with me when I told him I checked it out of the library instead. Once I started reading it, however, I realized Scot was right - I should have my own copy to mark up and read again whenever I wanted so I ordered a used one. It's a quick read, on the scientific side, and not too la-la. I really recommend it.

I immediately called Scot after I ordered and told him he was right and I was wrong! Brothers!!!
Sounds like a great book...
This afternoon I picked up What Happy Women Know from the library. I'm really busy this week, but I'm going to keep it near me and see if I can continue to learn from this author. Why not!

Thank you, your order has been placed.

An email confirmation has been sent to you.

I just bought it.  I can't wait to read it.  Thanks for sharing!

I have also read Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. That's a really great book! And the book Jenny described, What Happy People Know, might be the next one I find at the library. Or maybe I'll buy it ;) We will see.
An awesome book my husband and I recently read was Boundaries, by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend. It's a really great look into how you can set up appropriate boundaries at work, at home, and with friends.
My hubby and I found it helpful because we both have the tendency to be doormats, considering the needs and wants of others at the expense of ourselves. It was especially eye-opening for us as newlyweds. It helped me become my own person again and not feel bad about it!

Yes, I have that book as well.  I purchased it at our church.  It is a very good book, but you have to follow through!

I love anything written by Brené Brown. I'm currently reading her new book, Braving the Wilderness. If you haven't read anything by her, I'd recommend beginning with The Gifts of Imperfection and/or Daring Greatly (about vulnerability and courage).

I also highly recommend watching her TED Talk on vulnerability. https://www.ted.com/talks/brene_brown_on_vulnerability
