This physiatrist definitely says "dosis." I think she means "diagnosis" and just misspoke. It's not a video, so should I assume she meant diagnosis?

Q Have you ever seen skilled nursing where someone has the regional complex pain syndrome, or RSD, which has developed or progressed to the point where they're no longer able to take care of their activities of daily living?
A Not with -- it's just a single dosis, and that's why it gets into the point of causation and apportionment. If it's just a patient with only complex regional pain syndrome, no.

I actually think she meant to say "when" instead of "with." She didn't speak properly a lot during this depo. I don't know what to put - dosis or diagnosis. I don't think dosis is a word. My husband thinks it should be doses, but they're not talking about medication. Aaahhh! Why can't people speak right?

Did she speak with an accent? I'd lean towards "diagnosis." Did she say it more than once? If she did, then I'd lean towards something like "(phonetic)" or with quotes. But if it's a one-time mention, couldn't hurt to give her this one. (?)
Well, if you didn't have audio, what would you do? I worked without audio for the vast majority of my career and I had to look at those things and make them make sense. Without audio backup, I would have assumed I heard wrong, she was slurring her words and I was reacting to sound and not words, and I would put "diagnosis" in the transcript. It seems obvious that that is what she meant.

I hate it when people talk so fast and are so taken with their subject that they can't pronounce all the syllables in the word!
This woman didn't have an accent and wasn't even talking fast. I think she just slipped up. I just have to be sure "dosis" isn't a word that I just haven't come across yet. I'd hate to assume she meant "diagnosis" when she actually meant dosys or doisis or something weird. Ugh. If these people knew how much we cared, they'd feel bad for ever throwing us an evil glance when we ask them to slow down.
My choice in that situation would be dosis [sic].
If I had an ulcer for every one of these instances! Oh, wait! I think I do have ulcers. Never mind.
