Proofreader using PDF, Word, or ASCII. I am schooled in Morson's English Guide for Court Reporters, but open to any reporter's preference for other grammar guides.
I am certified in nuclear medicine and radiography, but have left the field to take care of my three kiddos as a newly single mom. I am familiar with the legal field, having scoped with the Eclipse software for a period of time in the past, but I am presently interested in the flexibility afforded me in the proofreading field.

I understand that accuracy is crucial and that deadlines can be demanding, so I'm always prompt and reliable by providing precise and error-free transcripts.
I proof 6 days a week, Monday - Saturday. I am very familiar with Morson's, Greggs, BGGP, and CMOS. I use whatever dictionary my court reporter prefers. And most importantly, I proof according to YOUR preferences. I may know the rules, but at the end of the day this is your body of work, so my goal is to make you look good and to be of service to you. I am always open to feedback and make it my goal to quickly learn my reporter's style and preferences.

Hi there! I’m Proofreader Kathy Snow.
Picky, picky, picky – that’s me, but in a good way! My obsessive attention to detail will help you produce outstanding transcripts. My tried-and-true method is to read every single word and do extensive research to make sure all names, terms, locations, etc. are spelled correctly, speaker designations are correct, and the format is consistent throughout the document. Then I’ll send you an errata sheet with the corrections (usually just a page or two) and you make the changes.
I have found that my paralegal background and hands-on training in court reporting school makes me a more well-rounded proofreader with a better understanding of the challenges you face in recording verbatim proceedings.
My longtime (since 1996) court reporter client is taking an extended hiatus, so I am now available, with red pen in hand, to take on your most challenging depos.
