I’m Monica, and I want to be your next proofreader.

I am educated in the legal field with paralegal certification, and I have developed and honed skills to accurately polish your transcripts. I have learned from and completed the only online course that teaches these skills -- the skills that can meet your needs.

I return a meticulously proofread transcript that has been analyzed and worked on through the standards of Gregg Reference Manual, Morson’s English Guide for Court Reporters, and Margie Wakeman’s Court Reporting: Bad Grammar/Good Punctuation text.

I have a wide availability, I do not charge extra for weekend work, and I can also be a backup proofreader for a court reporter or fellow proofreader who needs a hand with their workload.

When working with me at Reinhard Proofreading, reporters will receive:

A preference sheet
Corrected pages via email on PDF
A completed and accurate transcript on time EVERY time.
You can find me at reinhardproofreading@monicareinhard.com or monicareinhard.com/transcript-proofreading.html

I look forward to working with you!

I am an experienced proofreader with more than two decades of experience. I am of the old-fashioned variety, preferring to work from .txt (Notepad) files and providing an errata sheet of queries and corrections that is as simple as it gets. I maintain running word lists on each case and I research name spellings and industry terminology for verification/quality assurance purposes. At the present time, I am working for two awesome West Coast reporters, but their work has sadly been not sufficient to generate the steady and consistent income I need to continue working as a home-based proofreader. My desire is to work exclusively for one reporter who can keep me busy by providing steady work. Anyone who is interested in my rates and references can contact me at pascribe721@gmail.com. Serious inquiries with immediate need please. Thank you for reading, and I look forward to working with you!

I am a Case CATalyst and PDF proofreader.  I spent the last few months sharpening my skills in classes offered by Margie Wakeman Wells.

In Case CATalyst I can use Scanstops, Hidden Keys and Track Changes or whatever method you prefer to make corrections so that you are completely in control of your transcript.  I use iAnnotate for PDF proofing, making annotations above your text so nothing is ever changed in your transcripts.

I have availability in my schedule.  Please email me at ptompkins@pmtproofreading.com or visit my website at pmtproofreading.com for details.

Hello, court reporters!

I hope you and your loved ones are healthy and safe!

Is work picking up yet?

As things start to open up, you may find yourself overwhelmed with work or that your regular proofreaders are also overwhelmed with work.

I have proofreading experience and would love to help.

For those who could use medical expertise, I have 12 years of experience as a medical transcriptionist.

Let’s connect and see if we might be a good fit for each other.  I look forward to hearing from you!

Here's what one typo mistake can do. Let me help you get it right from the beginning for whatever you are writing.

Press freedom in the Philippines
(Foreign Policy) The journalist Maria Ressa, the founder of news site Rappler, has been found guilty of criminal libel by a Manila court in a case Human Rights Watch described as a “devastating blow” to press freedom in the Philippines under President Rodrigo Duterte. Ressa and another Rappler journalist, Reynaldo Santos Jr., were sentenced to up to six years in prison under the country’s cybercrime prevention act of 2012, which includes libel. The article that was deemed libelous predated the law, but a later online update of a typo was enough for prosecutors to consider it worthy of an indictment.
