Good morning, again, I now have a proofreader.  Thanks.

Comment by Jean-Marie A. Browne on November 11, 2016 at 4:17

I am looking for a proofreader who specializes in conferences, meetings.

I have a two-days' transcript and need it proofed.  It's just a regular.  Also from time to time I get jobs from conferences so that person could be my regular proofreader, sometimes I may ask you to proof with the audio.  Thanks.

Comment by Amy Vasbinder on November 10, 2016 at 18:14

Hello, my name is Amy Vasbinder and I offer transcript proofreading services for court reporters.

Nothing helps more than a second pair of eyes reading over your transcripts.  It is my belief that the proofreader is the final line of defense for a quality transcript.  I get a great deal of satisfaction being that second pair of eyes, that final line of defense.  Why give up your precious time proofing your own work when I can do it for you?  Increase your output by spending more time on the art of court reporting and less on the art of proofreading.

I have completed the online course Transcript Proofreading: Theory and

Practice ™, which entailed reading and correcting over 3,000+ pages of transcripts.  This practice has acquainted me with what court reporters do and what a proofreader can provide for them.  In addition to completing this course, I have familiarized myself with the following reference guides:

Morson’s English Guide for Court Reporters

Court Reporting: Bad Grammar / Good Punctuation by Margie Wakeman Wells

The Gregg Reference Manual

Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, Eleventh Edition

If you are interested in learning more about how working with a proofreader that specializes in the court reporting field can help your transcripts look clean and professional, feel free to email me at:  amy@beecorrectproofreading.com

Please visit my website at www.beecorrectproofreading.com to learn more about me, check out what my rates and turnaround times are, find out about new client discounts and referral discounts, and just get a feel for what Bee Correct Proofreading can do for you!

I prefer to proof via PDF.   Send over your job and I will return only annotated pages via email.  I am currently accepting new clients and look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you for your consideration!

Are you looking for a transcript proofreader you can count on? You can rely on me to get the details right and deliver your transcript on time. I work hard to be responsive, flexible, and available. You can be certain that your work will be proofed to a high standard with your preferences. A professional proofreader is an investment in your time and reputation.

My broad range of experience in court reporting, lactation, and surgery has made me proficient in legal and medical terminology. Many of my patients spoke little or no English, so I have experience communicating through interpreters. I provide a fresh set of eyes to make sure that your finished transcript is clear and easy to understand. I offer a valuable solution to managing your workload, freeing up time to handle other responsibilities. I look forward to working with you.

I’m a mistrans seeker and comma tweaker, and I will dig through your transcripts to unearth hidden errors. PDF proofing is compatible with any software, and you will see errors with their suggested fixes in context. I do lots of court work and can provide references.

I am new to this group and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Alison. I live in Colorado, but proofing digitally allows me to work with clients nationwide. My career has been varied and that has served me well. I've built a reputation for being the go-to colleague that could get any job done quickly and correctly while being pleasant. Kindness and communication go a long way!

In addition to my bachelor's degree in education, I've recently finalized my formal training by completing the online course Transcript Proofreading: Theory and Practice. I’ve proofed thousands of pages and I regularly reference Lillian I. Morson, The Gregg Reference Manual, and Margie Wakeman Wells. I have a close relationship with my dictionary as well. I will, however, defer to your preferences as a priority. As I mentioned, I prefer to proof digitally (PDF). Send over your job and I will return only annotated pages via email. I am currently accepting new clients and look forward to hearing from you!

Greetings! I'm Amy Schauland, the eyes behind Sparrow's Eye Proofreading. All my life I've loved the written word, and errors have always leaped off the page at me. I mark up transcripts and return them via PDF file, eliminating the need for reams of paper and quarts of ink. For reference I use The Gregg Reference Manual, Court Reporting: Bad Grammar/Good Punctuation by Margie Wakeman Wells, Merriam-Webster Dictionary, reporter preferences, and good ol' Google.

I understand how important it is for legal documents to be as accurate and squeaky clean as possible. Spend less time repeatedly going over the same material and use that time how you want. Let me help you look your best by being another line of defense against sneaky errors. Please visit my website for more detailed information, or shoot me an email at amy@sparrowseyeproofreading.com.
